Jane grew up in the heart of the equestrian world not far from the borders of Wales, where her parents bred Arab horses. This rich upbringing, coupled with her later success as an equestrian, gave her a deep understanding of horses’ anatomy and movement, which she now skillfully portrays in her artwork. Before fully embracing her artistic career, she competed in steeplechases and combined events throughout England. Her passion for equestrian sports continues to influence her art, as reflected in her striking compositions that capture the spirit and elegance of these magnificent creatures.

After her marriage, Jane and her family relocated to central France, where they embraced a rural lifestyle surrounded by breathtaking gardens and historic chateaux. The region’s rich cultural heritage and vibrant landscapes inspired Jane to explore her passion for gardening, leading her to travel extensively across Europe in search of enchanting gardens to immortalize on canvas. This exploration has resulted in a body of work that beautifully intertwines the natural world with her love for equestrian themes.

Currently residing with her husband and six children in their family chateau just outside Prague, Jane continues to draw inspiration from her idyllic surroundings. Her works have been exhibited in prestigious galleries in London and France, where they have garnered praise from critics and collectors alike. Her ability to evoke emotion through her art has earned her a loyal following, and her pieces are held in the collections of notable art connoisseurs.

In addition to her exhibitions, Jane has been commissioned to create works for distinguished organizations, further establishing her reputation as a leading contemporary artist. She regularly collaborates with art institutions to promote the appreciation of realism in modern art, inspiring the next generation of artists through workshops and mentorship programs.

In 2012 she had the honor of painting a picture for Her Majesty the Late Queen of England and presenting her work at Buckinham Palace for the late Queens Jubilee, highlighting her commitment to artistic excellence. As she continues to explore new themes and techniques, Jane Dunn-Astley-Corbett remains dedicated to her craft, creating works that resonate deeply with audiences and celebrate the beauty of the natural world.
